Cruise Vacations, Matched to the Way You Travel

The right ship makes all the difference. Let's find yours.

Here's the thing about cruising that most people don't realize until they've done it: there is no more efficient way to see the world.

I was on a 12-day cruise that took me through Italy, Greece, and Turkey. I unpacked once. I woke up in a new place almost every morning. And I never had to Google "how do I get from here to there" or wonder if I'd booked the right hotels in the right order. That trip would have been a logistical nightmare to plan independently — and it almost certainly would have cost more.

That's what a well-planned cruise does. It collapses what would take two weeks of complicated travel into something that actually feels like a vacation.

But here's what I'll also tell you: not all cruise lines are created equal. The right cruise for a honeymoon looks nothing like the right cruise for a multigenerational family reunion. An adults-only sailing is a completely different experience than a river cruise through the heart of Europe. I've sailed enough lines to know the difference — and my job is to match you to the one that fits how you actually want to travel, not just what's on sale.

WORKING WITH ME

What to Expect When You Book with Me

A recommendation based on your travel style, not a commission.

Before I suggest a single ship, I want to know who's going, what you're celebrating (if anything), how you like to spend your days, and what would make or break the trip. The cruise line matters as much as the destination.

Itinerary guidance that goes beyond the brochure.

Not every port is worth a full day. Some stops are better as a quick explore; others deserve a private excursion. I'll tell you which is which.

Help with the details that add up.

Cabin category, dining reservations, drink packages, excursion planning, travel insurance, pre- and post-cruise hotel nights — there's a lot that goes into a cruise that doesn't show up on the booking page. We'll sort through it together.

Ongoing support from deposit to disembarkation.

If something changes, if a sailing gets rerouted, if you have a question at 11pm before embarkation day — I'm available. That's the difference between booking through an advisor and booking through a website.

Cruise Lines I Work With (and What They're Actually Good For)

FINDING YOUR FIT

Adults Only

Virgin Voyages

Adults only, always. If you want a ship that feels more like a music venue at sea than a floating resort, this is it. No kids, no main dining room chaos, no entertainment you have to dodge. This is my go-to for couples, friend groups, and anyone who wants a vacation that actually feels like one.

Alaska & Scenic Voyages

Princess Cruises

My first choice for Alaska, hands down. The itineraries are exceptional, the ships are well-suited to scenic cruising, and the overall experience hits the sweet spot between comfortable and elevated. Also a strong pick for longer voyages and destination-focused sailings.

Culture & History

Viking

For the traveler who wants more than a beach chair. Viking is about immersion — history, culture, local experiences, and destinations you actually remember. River or ocean, the caliber is consistently high. I'll always make sure clients know what to expect going in: this is not a party ship, and that's exactly the point.

Families & Kids

Royal Caribbean

When kids are in the picture, this is where I start. The ships are built for families, the activity options are genuinely impressive, and there's enough going on that everyone from a 7-year-old to a 70-year-old stays entertained.

Premium Experience

Celebrity Cruises

A polished, premium option for travelers who want a more refined experience without going full ultra-luxury. Great food, beautiful ships, and a slightly quieter crowd.

I work with additional lines depending on the itinerary and what my clients are looking for. If you have a line in mind, let's talk about whether it's the right fit.

WHERE IN THE WORLD

Destinations Worth Sailing

The Caribbean

The classic for a reason. Island-hop through the Eastern Caribbean, explore the quieter Leeward Islands, or do a quick 4-night getaway out of a home port. There's an itinerary for almost every timeline.

Best for: First-timers, couples, families

The Mediterranean

This is where cruising makes the most sense as a travel strategy. Italy, Greece, Croatia, Spain — covering this region by land would take weeks. A single sailing gets you the highlights and then some.

Best for: Milestone trips, anniversary travel, culture lovers

Alaska

One of the most spectacular cruising regions in the world. Glaciers, wildlife, dramatic coastline, and ports that are genuinely worth exploring. Most people don't think of Alaska until someone tells them — then they can't stop thinking about it.

Best for: Nature lovers, bucket list trips, multi-gen families

Europe's Rivers

A completely different pace, and that's the appeal. Smaller ships, deeper port immersion, no sea days. The Rhine, the Danube, the Seine — river cruising is about slowing down and actually being somewhere.

Best for: Culture-focused travelers, couples, 50+ travelers

The Bahamas & Florida Coast

Short sailings, easy logistics, great for families or groups who want a taste of cruising without committing to a week-plus itinerary. A perfect first cruise for skeptics.

Best for: First-timers, families with young kids, quick getaways

GOOD QUESTIONS

The Real Talk

"I don't want to feel stuck on a ship."

This is the most common thing I hear from people who haven't cruised before — and it's almost always coming from someone picturing a ship from 20 years ago. Modern cruising is not what you're imagining. You're in port most days. You get off, explore, come back when you want. On a 7-night Caribbean sailing, you might have one sea day. On a Mediterranean itinerary, you're stepping off in a new city nearly every morning. The ship is home base, not a cage.

"Are there always hidden fees and upcharges?"

Honestly — it depends on the line, and this is exactly why matching you to the right one matters. Some cruise lines build almost everything into the fare. Others are more à la carte. I'll tell you upfront what's included, what costs extra, and whether a package makes financial sense for how you travel. No surprises.

"Is cruising really worth it compared to just booking a resort?"

For some trips, a resort wins. For others, it's not even a competition. If you want to see multiple destinations, travel with a group where everyone has different preferences, or simply not think about logistics for a week — a cruise is hard to beat. The value per experience is genuinely strong when it's planned well.

"We're a group with different ages and interests. Can a cruise really work for everyone?"

It can, and this is actually one of cruising's biggest strengths. I hosted a group of 13 on a Virgin Voyages sailing — some people knew each other, some only knew me and my husband. I planned one group dinner on night two so everyone could connect, and after that, the trip was completely open. Some people paired up for excursions. Some went off solo. Some of us met up for drinks at the end of the day. By the end of the week, everyone had bonded and had a great time doing completely different things. That kind of flexibility is hard to replicate anywhere else.

"What's the best cruise line for first-timers?"

It depends on who's going. For couples or adult friend groups, I often start with Virgin Voyages — the experience is polished, the vibe is fun without being overwhelming, and there's a reason people become repeat sailors quickly. For families, Royal Caribbean is hard to beat. For travelers who want a more classic experience, Princess is a comfortable, well-rounded choice.

"Do I need travel insurance for a cruise?"

Yes. Full stop. Between potential weather disruptions, port changes, medical situations at sea, and the cost of missing embarkation, the risk of going uninsured isn't worth it. I'll walk you through coverage options that actually make sense for your trip.
