European Travel, Planned by Someone Who Gets It
Italy, Greece, river cruises and beyond. Let's make someday an actual date.
I have a personal reason for loving Europe that most travel advisors don't.
My Yiayia (Greek for grandmother, though she was actually my great-grandmother) came to America from Greece as a teenager. She used to visit us in Las Vegas and she'd always say she loved it here because it reminded her of Greece. Strange comparison, right? But standing in the mountains of the Peloponnese years later, I understood exactly what she meant.
She passed not long after I graduated high school, but it was always my mom's goal to make it to Greece and see where she came from. My mom has been twice now. On the most recent trip, my family joined her after my parents' cruise through Europe. We met up in Athens, made our way to my Yiayia's village, and walked the same olive tree fields her family once tended. We explored mountains that generations before her had called home. We visited a church that was gifted to my family in the 1600s. We saw Sparta, Ancient Olympia, the caves of Diros. And at the end of the trip, on the Peloponnese peninsula, we met cousins who had always wondered what happened to my Yiayia and her descendants after she left.
It was the most remarkable trip I've ever taken. And it's why I believe, with complete sincerity, that Europe isn't just a destination. It's an experience that changes how you see the world.
Why not today? That's what I tell anyone who's been saying "someday, Europe." The history there isn't tucked away in museums. It's what the cities are built on. The architecture alone is staggering. The food is spectacularly fresh. Yes, it's a long flight. It is worth every minute.
WORKING WITH ME
What to Expect When You Book with Me
An itinerary built around how you actually travel.
Europe can be anything: a slow, romantic week in one city, a multi-country adventure, a river cruise through the heart of the continent, or a roots trip to somewhere that means something to your family. I'll figure out which version fits you and build from there.
Honest guidance on where to go and how long to stay.
This is where most people go wrong with European travel. They try to see too much in too little time, or they spend too long somewhere that didn't need a full week. I'll tell you where to linger and where to move on, and I'll help you build a pace that lets you actually enjoy the trip rather than just survive it.
A mix of guided and independent experiences.
Some moments are better with a local expert showing you around. Others are better without a schedule. I structure European trips to include both: the guided experiences that give you context and access, and the free time to wander and discover things that aren't in any itinerary.
Logistics that actually work.
Multi-city European travel involves trains, transfers, multiple hotels, varying check-in requirements, and more moving parts than a resort trip. I handle all of it so you're not spending your vacation managing spreadsheets or Googling train schedules at midnight.
Support from planning to landing back home.
Whether something shifts before you leave or a question comes up while you're standing in a piazza in Rome, I'm available. You won't navigate it alone.
Who European Travel Is Right For
FINDING YOUR FIT
Couples & Honeymooners
Europe is one of the most romantic backdrops in the world for a reason. A honeymoon in Italy, a week island-hopping through Greece, a private villa on the Amalfi Coast. These are the trips couples spend years dreaming about. I make sure the reality lives up to the dream.
Retirees & Empty Nesters
If you've been putting Europe off until you had the time, the time is now. Retirees and empty nesters are some of my favorite European travel clients because they have the flexibility to do it right: slower pace, longer stays, and the freedom to go deeper into the places that matter rather than racing through a checklist.
Families with Older Kids & Teenagers
Europe is one of the best investments you can make in a teenager's worldview. History that they've only read about suddenly becomes real. Food they've never tried becomes a favorite. I build family Europe itineraries that keep teenagers genuinely engaged, not just tolerating the trip while waiting to get back to their phones.
Multigenerational Groups
With the right pacing and itinerary, Europe is absolutely doable for a multigenerational group. The key is building in flexibility: shared experiences alongside time for each generation to move at their own pace. I've seen three-generation Europe trips become the defining family memory of a lifetime.
WHERE IN THE WORLD
Destinations Worth Experiencing
Italy
The most requested European destination, and for good reason. Italy rewards travelers who take the time to plan it well. From the art and architecture of Rome and Florence, to the coastal drama of the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre, to the quieter beauty of Tuscany and the lakes. I specialize in helping clients move beyond the obvious tourist trail and experience Italy the way it's meant to be experienced.
Greece
I have a personal connection to Greece that goes deeper than most advisors, and it shows in how I plan these trips. Greece is more than Santorini and Mykonos, though both are spectacular. It's the Peloponnese, Ancient Olympia, the caves of Diros, villages that haven't changed in centuries, and a people who welcome visitors with a warmth that's hard to find anywhere else.
European River Cruises
One of the most underrated ways to experience Europe. River cruises put you in the heart of the continent, docking in the center of cities rather than miles away, sailing through countryside that looks like it was painted, and covering extraordinary ground without unpacking more than once. Viking is my go-to for European river cruising.
GOOD QUESTIONS
The Real Talk
"We've always wanted to go to Europe but keep putting it off. When's the right time?"
Now. Genuinely. There is no perfect time, and the longer you wait, the more trips you miss. Europe isn't going anywhere, but the years you could be spending there are. If the logistics feel overwhelming, that's exactly what I'm here for. Let's pick a destination and build a real plan.
"How do we know how long to spend in each place?"
This is the question that makes or breaks a European trip, and it's one I take seriously. The answer depends on your pace, your interests, and how many places you're trying to cover. A general rule: most people try to see too much. I'd rather help you go deeper in fewer places than skim the surface of everywhere. We'll figure out the right balance for your group.
"Is it hard to get around if we don't speak the language?"
Less than you'd think, especially in Italy and Greece where tourism is part of daily life and English is widely spoken in the places visitors spend most of their time. That said, I build itineraries that account for navigation and logistics so you're not figuring it out on the fly. And where a guided experience genuinely adds value, I'll recommend one.
"How does a European river cruise compare to a regular cruise?"
Very differently, and that's the point. River cruises are smaller, slower, and far more immersive. You dock in the center of cities, not at industrial ports miles away. The ships carry a fraction of the passengers of an ocean liner. The pace is built around the destinations rather than the ship itself. For travelers who want to see Europe's interior, a river cruise is one of the best ways to do it.
"Is European travel expensive?"
It can be, but the value of the experience is unlike almost anything else. I work with clients across a range of budgets and I'll be upfront about what's realistic for what you're imagining. There are also ways to structure a European trip, timing, destinations, pacing, that make the cost more manageable without compromising the experience. Budget is part of the conversation from the start, not an afterthought.
"We want to visit Italy and Greece on the same trip. Is that doable?"
Yes, and it's one of my favorite itineraries to build. A cruise is often the most elegant way to do it. You can cover both countries without the luggage shuffle of multiple flights and hotel check-ins. Alternatively, a well-paced land itinerary can work beautifully depending on your timeline. We'll figure out which approach fits your group best.
